Season Opener: Another Sky

Scarcely recognized as a poet during her lifetime, Emily Dickinson is now regarded as one of our nation's greatest poets. Generations of Americans have been noursihed, inspired, enlivened and amazed by her work. Many of her poems have been set to music by various composers. Join us for an evening of immersion into the words, rhythms, poetic meditations, and astounding metaphors of Emily Dickinson. 

Featuring works by composers Juliana Hall, Lori Laitman, Henry Mollicone, Ricky Ian Gordon, and Jake Heggie. We are thrilled to be joined by soprano, Bronwyn White and San Antonio poets, Diane Gonzales Bertrand, Cyra S. Dumitru, Joshua Robbins, and Natalia Trevino. The program is free and open to the public.
